Margrave: The Marcher Lords takes inspiration from across the history of gaming, both tabletop and digital, and is the first tabletop miniature wargame to make use of tech trees, unique to each faction, in-battle regimental promotions (Prowess), and among the first to use formation changes during games.

The Bright Marches, our original fantasy setting, brings together factions inspired by real world cultures from across history. From the Greek City States to the Spanish Inquisition via Qing Dynasty China, Margrave: The Marcher Lords celebrates our world with a fantastical and cultural twist.

Gameplay inspired by strategy video gaming


Fueling our strategic mechanics are two spendable resources: Zeal and Tech Points (Dogma, Qi, and Favour; each unique to a faction). Accumulate these resources during list building and manage them during battle, spending them to promote your regiments, access your tech tree, and use commander strategies.
